Sweet Tooth: Petits Fours

Tiny cakes! I have quite a sweet tooth, and nothing excites me more than tiny pastries. I saw a display of these petits fours today and bought two boxes! They seem to be a seasonal item, as I always have better luck finding them in December. Bissinger's has them seasonally.

They make for an excellent companion to a cup of hot black tea.

MAC Peacocky Mega Metal Eyeshadow, photos, swatches, and review.

When I got the email a few weeks ago from MAC PRO about their new Peacocky line, I think I looked at it briefly and then archived it and forgot about it. I regret that now. It was released in fifteen amazing shades and I wasn't able to buy the entire collection. You can see the official promo info here.

Two of the colors I would have loved to have had before they sold out were Nior Plum and Odalisque. I was able to get Ego before it sold out. I bought Top of the Posh, Prance, Dalliance, Ego, Dandizette, Mating Call, and Unflappable.
They retail for $19.50, which is higher than their regular eyeshadows which retail for $14.50. When I opened my package I saw why - they're larger.

I am thrilled to have these new colors!!! Once I play with them a bit more I'll upload another photo. For now, here is a peacock inspired tutorial from MissChievous:

A new sewing machine and 900+ products sold.

2010 was a really great year for me all around. I rewarded myself for all the hard work I've put into my Etsy shop by purchasing a brand new Bernina sewing machine. She's a dream! She's quiet too. There are so many new and helpful features on this machine that my old Singer didn't have.

Also, I'm down to the last few labels in a box of 600. So far, since I've opened my Etsy store in May 2008 I've sewn over 900 makeup brush rolls and makeup bags. It makes me so proud to be able to create popular products that are both functional and fashionable.

I'm really looking forward to 2011.
