Dita Von Teese says your nail polish should always match your lipsticks. It's a vintage style technique invented by
Elizabeth Arden during the nineteen-teens (is that how you say it?) that she called her "Total Look." She recommended coordinating your lips, cheeks, and fingernails all to be the same shade. Now, this may not work for everyone, but it's certainly something to consider if you plan on honing your vintage style. Here are a few suggested combinations for you. Happy Valentine's Day!
Pale Pink: MAC Saint Germain lipstick, MAC Ice Cream Cake nail polish
Hot Pink: MAC Candy Yum-Yum lipstick, MAC Steamy nail polish
Red: MAC Russian Red lipstick, MAC Rougemarie nail polish

oh my! these are gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this idea, I usually always match my lipstick and nail polish =) I like the russian red/rougemarie match the most! =)
ReplyDeleteI usually wear neutral or sheer nails, because I hate the notion of not matching some part of my makeup to some other part of me!
ReplyDeleteWow, these are awesome. I really want the dark red one. I have a thing for dark polish!
